BI Analyst

TITLE:    BI Analyst

DUTIES:    Gather requirements from various internal business users to understand specific data; analytical needs of various IT projects; Identify data from multiple data sources. Create interactive dashboards and business intelligence reports using Tableau and Power BI; Use data analysis software and techniques to identify, analyze, document, and interpret data trends or patterns in business processes to aid with applied business research; Conduct applied data analysis such as data cleansing, data processing, data transformation, and data connectivity. Develop various data trend reports and forecasts and benchmark results against competing data sets for project needs. Use advanced analytics such as Alteryx and SSIS for ETL, data integration, and workflow solutions for data warehouse implementation. Prepare business intelligence reports using Star and Snowflake schema models, multi-dimensional data, and cube design; Use BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and Qlik to analyze data to facilitate reporting, project documentation; project scope to assist with efficient on-time delivery of project tasks and milestones; Create views, tables, triggers, user profiles, user-defined functions, and stored procedures.

Manage real-time and batch processing using Azure Cloud services. Synthesize current business intelligence to determine operational impacts and elevate database issues, trends, and areas for strategic improvement of projects.

REQUIREMENTS:  Must have a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Analytics, Business Intelligence, Marketing Analytics, or a closely related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or as a Business Intelligence Analyst, Data Analyst, Business Analyst, or related.

In lieu of a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent and 2 years of experience, the employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent and 5 years of post-baccalaureate progressive experience in the above-mentioned fields. Experience must include at least 1 year of experience with Data integration using ADF pipelines, Azure data lake analytics, Azure SQL, Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, modeling of Star and Snowflake schema models, Alteryx, data processing, data transformation, and data connectivity. Manage real-time and batch processing using Azure Cloud services.

JOB LOCATION:    Essani International LLC, 471 Sterling Lane, South Elgin, IL 60177 and other unanticipated locations across the us. May require to relocate to unanticipated client locations throughout the US.

Position and hours of work– Permanent, Full Time, 40 HRS/WK  9:00 A.M. – 6:00 P.M.
